Yesterday, the rain might have at times been heavy enough to cause local flooding in some areas across town. But, that was not enough to deter the Boxing Day dippers who took the plunge at the annual Catalan Bay Polar Bear Swim.
The swim has been running for a number of years now, and despite the wet and cold weather, a large number of people took to the water to fundraise for a number of charities.
A number of other charity fundraiser swims also took place throughout the day, at Eastern Beach,Camp Bay and other locations.
