​HMS Trent arrived in Gibraltar on Easter Sunday morning for routine logistics support

HMS Trent arrived in Gibraltar on Easter Sunday morning for routine logistics support.

It's her first visit to the Rock since the recent announcement that she will patrol from Gibraltar as part of the UK's Defence Review.

HMS Trent will be supporting the full spectrum of operations across the whole of the Mediterranean, the Black Sea and West Africa .

She's a Batch 2 Offshore Patrol Vessel, is fitted with a sophisticated suite of sensors and weapons and is crewed by a rotating team of 150 sailors.

Commander Tom Knott of HMS Trent, says: “The crew are excited at the opportunities of forming a close relationship with Gibraltar over the years ahead”.
