Inaugural Easyjet flight from Birmingham to Gibraltar

Flights between Gibraltar and Birmingham have began with the service now operating twice-weekly year-round on Thursdays and Sundays.

Tourism Minister Christian Santos was invited by Easyjet on the inaugural flight.

He was greeted by the Mayor, Carmen Gomez, with the Sea Scouts Band and Re-enactment Society at the airfield.

The new route will complement existing easyJet flights from Bristol, Gatwick and Manchester, with a total of 13 weekly routes.
