The Income Tax Office has updated the method for submitting P8 returns for 2019/2020.
This is according to the Government, which says this is due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the Business Employee Assistance Terms introduced as a result.
It says the 2019/2020 P8 Employer's Annual Statement, Declaration and Certificate' paper-based form will no longer be accepted, as it doesn't cater for the BEAT-COVID scheme.
Number Six says electronic and interactive versions of the P8 form are now available, along with guidance notes, on https://tax.egov.gi
It says this facility allows employers to adequately report on all employees, irrespective of whether these continued to be active or were made fully or partly inactive or furloughed throughout any of the months from April to June.
