India poised to take advantage of Gib / EU treaty and trade deal with UK

The Indian High Commissioner in London has said that, once a Gibraltar EU Treaty and a trade agreement between the UK and India are finalised, his Government will be in a good position to explore Gibraltar as a gateway hub into Europe.

Speaking during a visit to the Finance Centre this week, Vikram Doraiswami said exploring trade relationships with nimble jurisdictions like the Rock are essential for India's financial services future planning.

He was introduced to Finance centre professionals during a showcase meeting by Minister Nigel Feetham.
