Gibraltar's significance as a strategic port of call has been reinforced as Tourism Minister Christian Santos recently attended the cruise industry's largest annual event, Seatrade Cruise Global 2026 in Miami.
The Minister was accompanied by Audisa Rodriguez from the Tourist Board.
The Government says these events provide the opportunity to promote Gibraltar as a high-quality Mediterranean destination, and form part of the Tourism Board's ongoing strategy to secure future cruise visits to the Rock.
The Mayor, Nicky Guerrero, also attended the convention, in his capacity as Secretary General of the MedCruise Association.
The number of expected cruise calls is up 18 percent in 2026, with the Government stating that engagement at international conventions ensures Gibraltar remains 'a competitive and attractive port of call.'
