Ireland win 2-0 against Gibraltar in Dublin

A spirited display in Dublin wasn't enough to earn any points for Gibraltar in Monday's Euro qualifier, with Ireland coming away 2-0 winners. But the performance will go some way to making up for Friday's disappointing showing against Georgia.

This was Gibraltar's 3rd match of its Euro qualifiers against a struggling Irish side who had only been able to beat Gibraltar 1-0 at the Victoria Stadium.

The first goal of the game came by chance as McGoldrick's shot deflected off the leg of Joseph Chipolina and into his own net.

Gibraltar were organized and quick on the counter but couldn't make the most of their opportunities when they came. This one of the highlights of the match from the visitors' perspective: a 3 on 3 as they caught the Irish defence sleeping, but unable to capitalize.

Ireland were disjointed and unable to put the match to bed tilwell into injury time when Robbie Brady headed in to make it 2-0 on the night.
