Two financial services seminars were hosted by the Government at the Institute of Directors in Pall Mall in London in recent days.
A breakfast seminar was attended by some 140 specialists from both London and Gibraltar, designed to cover significant areas relating to the funds and asset management.
The event also included a number of panel discussions chaired by James Lasry of the Funds and Investments Association, and Joey Imossi of the Association of Trusts and Company Management.
It's been a busy week in London for Mr Isola, as he also hosted a seminar and reception showcasing Gibraltar's technology sector at Canary Wharf. The Digital and Financial Services Minister discussed Gibraltar Finance Distributed Ledger Technology, and introduced recently appointed FSC CEO, Kerry Blight, to those in attendance.
A panel made up of senior leaders from international technology firms was also hosted.
Those on the panel were: Mihai Ivascu, M3 Holdings Group CEO; Serhii Mokhniev, CEX.IO Regulatory Affairs Counsel; Malcolm Palle, Coinsilium Co- Founder and Chairman; Felipe Vallejo Dabdoub, Head of Risk and Corporate Affairs with Bitso and Santiago Martín de Lavallaz, Director at IOV Labs.
Mr Isola said that the first of his DLT presentations was also held in the same area, adding that much has changed since then, with 13 licensed firms now on the Rock and others at the "in principle" stage of the process.
The event was part of the #thinkgibraltar campaign and Mr Isola was accompanied by James Tipping and other senior executives from the Finance Centre., Michael Ashton, Paul Astengo and Time Haynes.
