A new Minister for Europe has been appointed following Boris Johnson’s Cabinet reshuffle last week.
Justice Minister Wendy Morton has moved to the Foreign & Commonwealth Office and the Department for International Development, where she has now been assigned the role of Minister for European Neighbourhood and the Americas.
The Chief Minster has written to congratulate Ms Morton on her appointment as Permanent Under Secretary of State.
Fabian Picardo emphasised the excellent relationship enjoyed between his Government and previous Minsters for Europe, and said he looks forward to continuing to work closely with the Foreign and Commonwealth Office in the future.
