Keith Azopardi says he will be voting ‘No’ at Thursday’s referendum as he says he feels the proposed law is too wide and does not give enough protection to the unborn living being.
Mr Azopardi says people are being asked to choose between two agonisingly difficult positions: women’s rights to choose what to do with their bodies and saving unborn babies.
The Leader of the Opposition says there are powerful women’s voices on both sides of that argument so it cannot be said that there is only one women’s perspective to be followed.
He told our reporter Jonathan Scott the law cannot stay as it is and does need changing, but that the law being voted on is not the one he thinks Gibraltar should adopt.
