Landlord asks Housing Minister to reflect on shortcomings of Government’s housing policy

A founding member of the landlords association has asked the Housing Minister to reflect on the shortcomings of the Government’s housing policy rather than shift blame to private landlords.

Rodney Perrera said he agrees with Action for Housing that the Government should construct more rental homes. He also said Gibraltar’s housing legislation is “archaic” and needs to be updated; but, he said, even within existing legislation tenants also have a role to play in the upkeep of the property they’re renting.

Our reporter Jonathan Scott spoke to Mr Pererra.
