The Royal Gibraltar Police says it currently has a ‘large number’ of active money laundering investigations ongoing.
These require highly skilled officers, and due to the complex nature of the work, it can take a long time to gather evidence.
DCI Tom Tunbridge of the force's Economic Crime Unit told Katy Docker whilst there are more money laundering cases coming through the local courts recently, these are the result of years of work behind the scenes.
