After a stormy forty-six days in Gibraltar Waters, the Grace 1 left with her new crew on Monday night.
Over the weekend, the Gibraltar Government turned down a request by the United States of America for Mutual Legal Assistance in detaining the supertanker - now called the Adrian Darya- after a warrant to seize it was issued by the US Department of Justice on Friday.
The warrant refers to the “unlawful use” of the US financial system to support and finance the Islamic Revolutionary Guard’s sale of oil products to Syria.
Ros Astengo spoke to the Chief Minister Fabian Picardo.
