Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics took place Wednesday

The Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics took place on Wednesday.

The ‘Flame of Hope’ torch was lit by one of the events patrons and sponsors Saccone & Speed. It was handed over to the first torch bearer which kick started the run.

The event started on Devil’s Tower Road and ended at the Lathbury Sports Complex.

Law Enforcement Torch Run volunteers take turns to carry the Flame of Hope along the route. Upon arrival, they hand over the ‘Torch’ to a Special Olympics Athlete for the lighting of the Special Olympics Cauldron, officially opening the 2022 Special Olympics National Games.
