Laws against feeding monkeys flouted in Upper Rock

Feeding Gibraltar’s Barbary macaques is a crime – and one that the Government has a clear policy on which is stated on its website. The penalty for feeding monkeys is £500.

However, some taxi drivers appear to be flouting the law. When asked for a comment, Taxi Association Treasurer Christian Agius told GBC, everybody does it as the law isn't enforced, adding that it’s been going on for a while.

Our reporter Katy Docker joined a Rock tour to find out what the experience is like.
