The Leader of the Opposition has said he agrees with the decision to keep the social bubble of 12 as advice but not law. Speaking to GBC’s Viewpoint, Keith Azopardi echoed Mr Picardo’s remarks that it would be unenforceable for the police.
He said after a long lockdown it was understandable that people have been getting out more in recent days but warned against a “free for all” in order to keep the number of Covid 19 cases manageable.
Dr Azopardi also praised the Royal Gibraltar Police for what he said was a “wise” decision to gradually relax enforcement. This was in response to a viewer’s question about the Unlock the Rock document saying people could meet friends and family as from this past Monday, whereas the law actually didn’t change to allow this until today.
