Linguists in Gibraltar to study how bilingual brains work

Published by GBC News

Linguists from the University of Valladolid are in Gibraltar to study how bilingual brains work.

The team are using eye tracking technology as well as other activities to understand linguistic phenomena relating to the ability of Gibraltarians to code switch between English and Spanish.

They are calling for volunteers to take part at sessions being held all week at the John Mackintosh Hall.

For the purpose of the study, volunteers need to be 18 and over. They need to be either native born or have been living in Gibraltar since the age of eight.

You can obtain further information from Cultural Services.
