Llamas tells Parliament mental health needs more investment & that he does not intend to stand for GSD at next election

Lawrence Llamas told Parliament mental health needs to be treated similarly to physical health, arguing that 6% of the health budget is not enough for mental health services.

The Shadow Health Minister said more radical policies are needed, including the expanding of domiciliary care, creating supported internships as well as crisis and management team that do aftercare.

The MP told GBC he does not intend to put himself forward as a candidate for the GSD at the next election. He would not be drawn on the reasons why.
