A local man has received a suspended prison sentence of two months after having pleaded guilty to dangerous driving and speeding.
21 year old Hicham Akalay pleaded guilty to three charges of dangerous driving and speeding, detected by fixed speed cameras in October. Two of the instances of speeding were over 130 kilometres an hour.
At the Magistrates’ Court, Akalay was sentenced to two months in prison, suspended for two years. He was also fined a £1000, and has been disqualified from driving for two years.
