The online gaming company, Lottoland, claims it is the first gambling operator to become carbon neutral.
Head-quartered in Gibraltar, the company has also signed up to The Climate Pledge.
Working with Tunley Engineering, a global climate reduction consultancy, Lottoland says it has taken the necessary steps in measuring, reporting, and offsetting their carbon footprint.
Lottoland has become the most recent contributor to the Saġġar movement, an environmentally driven project aiming to plant a million indigenous trees across the Maltese Islands.
Over the last year Lottoland has planted more than 2 million trees globally and says it is committed to support charities such as Saġġar.
Shelina Assomull spoke to CEO Nigel Burrell and asked him how an online product that relies on technology and therefore energy, can be carbon neutral.
