Mental Welfare Society says high stress levels at Ocean Views are down to long standing problems at the core of mental health services

The Mental Welfare Society says the 88% stress levels at Ocean Views, as highlighted in the recent survey by Unite, is the result of long standing problems at the core of mental health provision in Gibraltar.

The Society says the lack of effective coordination and communication has been central to these failings, as mentioned numerous times in the Government's Situational Analysis Report.

Speaking to our reporter Ros Astengo, the Society's Conchita Triay also said there has been no improvement on the ground since the introduction of the 111 crisis hotline, with many complaining that follow through appointments are still not being made.
