Culture and Tourism Minister Christian Santos says the Literary Festival strengthens cultural identity, with literature transcending countries and cultures to unite people through stories and storytelling.
Speaking at the festival's closing dinner on Saturday night, he spoke of the festival's success, the diversity of subjects covered and how it was now rooted in Gibraltar's calendar.
He would however wants to see it grow as a pillar of event-led tourism.
For his part, Horrible Histories illustrator Martin Brown thanked the festival team for the hard work on behalf of the authors, especially when the 'fog hit the fan". In an amusing address, he thanked Gibraltar for its hospitality and diverse programme which, he said, had included politics, love, espionage and murder-and all that, he added..... just in Theresa May's talk.
