Ministerial Statement in reply to the former Police Commissioner's statement expected in Parliament on Friday.
Parliament meets at 3.30pm with the Chief Minister expected to make a ministerial statement in reply to the former Commissioner of Police's statement earlier this week. Ian McGrail called for an independent judicial inquiry on the matter of his early retirement. Mr McGrail claimed the invitation by the Police Authority for him to retire was withdrawn following legal representations, with the Government paying a contribution to his legal costs.
The House is also expected to debate a Private Members' Motion to be moved by Opposition MP, Daniel Feetham. The motion welcomes the introduction of the Disability Act in 2017 and aims to suggest ways to secure equal opportunities and rights for disabled people. It will also to look into how disability benefit is applied and administered.
Seven Bills are on the agenda for Friday's session.
