New air quality monitoring units in the North District will be able to identify short-term pollution issues as well as overall trends in pollutant levels, according to the Government. This, in response to GBC questions after the introduction of the two new units was announced this week.
And, the Environmental Safety Group has welcomed the installation of the real-time monitoring equipment, following years of lobbying. It highlights that these mobile units can be moved to different hotspots around Gibraltar, adding it hopes the data will expose problem areas that require changes in activity and practice.
