Temporary protective barriers in the shape of the Gibraltar Rock have been introduced throughout the town centre.
Known as Jersey Barriers, they have replaced the barriers that were already in place. They can be found at Casemates Square, Main Street, and Cloister Ramp.
This second installation of Gibraltar-themed designs follows from the cannon-shaped barriers that were introduced at Chatham Counterguard in November last year.
The cannon design has also made it into this second batch of barrier installations, at Governor's Lane. The Government says the barriers are designed to beautify and enhance the town area, whilst providing necessary protection.
