Former Chief Minister, Joe Bossano has been knighted in the New Year Honours. The Minister for Economic Development has been appointed as a Knight Commander of the Most Distinguised Order of St Michael and Saint George.
The Director of Public Health, Doctor Vijay Kumar has been awarded an MBE.
Stanley Paul Riley has been given the Gibraltar Award for services to music
with the Governor also awarding it to James Charles Posso for services to the Government’s Audit Office.
Congratulating the recipients, the Governor says he has no doubt the people of Gibraltar will share his delight and pride that four so richly deserving Gibraltarians should have received awards. Lieutenant General Edward Davis adds their contributions have made a vital and enduring difference to the well-being and progression of their homeland and its people.
