​No further widespread water disruption expected when works to replace damaged pipework begin, says AquaGib

No further widespread disruption to Gibraltar's water supply is envisaged when works to fix or replace the damaged pipework eventually begin.

This according to AquaGib's Managing Director, who told GBC the current temporary measures will remain in place until such time as a permanent solution is found.

Paul Singleton also confirmed that the emergency works to a 'significant' leak in the Upper Town area are unconnected to the problems caused by the fire.

However, speaking to our reporter Ros Astengo, he stressed that conservation was necessary in order to get stock levels up, with no date yet in place for the lifting of restrictions.
