Open water swimmers finish 365 day challenge with £5K from Peter Isola Foundation for mental health causes

Published by GBC News

Open water swimmers Darren Grech and Anna Baglietto completed their 365th swim in open waters this morning.

The pair set themselves a challenge to swim every day this year - totalling 600 kilometres - the equivalent of 45 times across the Strait of Gibraltar.

The punishing routine meant battling through difficult weather conditions and smacks of jellyfish, but both Darren and Anna finished the year raising £5,000 for mental health charities, courtesy of the Peter Isola Foundation.
