Outline planning application filed for what would be the tallest building on Devil's Tower Road

Published by GBC News

An outline planning application has been filed with the town planner for what would be the tallest building on Devil's Tower Road.

The 34 floor mixed -use development would house over 100 residential properties with services including gyms, pools, sky gardens and a spa.

The lower floors would cater for commercial units. The application is bound to re-start the debate of whether we have too many high rise buildings and what effect this will have on the area.

The new development largely targets a specific demographic with most of the apartments studio flats. There will, however be different sized flats and single and duplex penthouses.

The application is being taken forward by Orfila Architects with Albert Parody- the developer.

The plans include 99 car spaces with private bus parking for use by Parody Tours. The company's offices will take up the first floor.

There will be a spa, gym and pool on the Upper floors with others halfway up the building.

Public consultation is open till the 23rd of March.
