Parliament could veto Brexit deal, says David Davis

The UK Parliament could veto a Brexit deal unless MPs come up with a substantive plan for a future relationship with the EU, according to Brexit Secretary David Davis.

According to the Financial Times, Mr Davis said there was only a tiny probability that Britain would leave the EU without a formal agreement, but that, if if were to happen, a no-deal would be ‘cataclysmic’.

Mr Davis said the UK and the EU must have substantive agreements in place on the post-Brexit relationship, rather than just a vague political agreement.
