Parliament introduces Voter Identification System to be used during referendum

Parliament has introduced a Voter Identification System to be used during the referendum on Thursday.

The system aims to speed up the voting process and tighten up security.

Voters are asked to take their ID cards with them, even if these have expired. They are also asked to vote early.

Our News Editor, Christine Vasquez, spoke to the Referendum Administrator, Paul Martinez.

23,343 have registered to vote, with only under 300 postal votes having been cast.
