Plans have been filed for four town houses in the south-west corner of Europort, on the shore next to the Med Rowing Club.
These have been submitted for outline planning approval from the Development and Planning Commission.
The developers told GBC the design aims to improve a currently underutilised space at Gibraltar’s seafront. Plans also include the refurbishment of what the developers describe as the ‘deteriorated’ pavement in the area.
The clients behind the project are Europort 5 Ltd, the owners of the Europort development surrounding the proposed site.
The town houses are set to be three storeys tall, with four bedrooms and jacuzzis.
The developers told GBC they are designed for large families and will be in keeping with the aesthetics of the area. They say the villas will enrich housing options available locally.
The development would mean the relocation of the Atlantic Suites Health Club pool – to just a few metres away from where it is now.
A paddle court also features in the plans.
It’s not yet known when they will be reviewed by the DPC.
