Positive response to suggestion to include questions on long-lasting health conditions in upcoming census, says Disability Society

The Gibraltar Disability Society says it’s received a positive response to its suggestion to include questions on long-lasting health conditions in an upcoming census on the Rock.

In a statement, the Society says the UK government’s national census includes questions with regards to health conditions lasting or expecting to last twelve months or more. It says it wrote to the Chief Minister regarding the lack of statistical information on the number of persons with disabilities in Gibraltar, suggesting that questions in the census could help towards this – and says it’s pleased with Fabian Picardo’s response.
