As from next week, the Primary Care Centre will bring in more civil servants on phone lines and extra staff from the GHA to cope with the backlog caused by the Covid 19 lockdown. The GHA apologises for the delays in response time for people trying to call to book an appointment or see a GP, and says it has struggled to keep up with the demand with a post-Covid reduction in staff. However, it assures that the public should start to see an improvement to the service in the coming days.
Jonathan Sacramento spoke to Acting Medical Director, Krish Rawal, and asked him why people couldn't get through to the PCC.
