Prime Minister wins key Brexit vote after concession to rebels

Theresa May has narrowly won a key vote on Brexit in the House of Commons, but only after she reportedly made concessions to Conservative rebels led by Dominique Grieve over the interpretation of a ‘meaningful vote’ in the final deal.

MPs voted by a majority of 26 to reject the House of Lords amendment which would have given Parliament greater powers to negotiate in the event of a ‘no deal’.
