The qualifying period for agency workers has been reduced from 52 weeks to 12 weeks.
This was reflected in the Agency Workers Regulations under the Employment Act published in the Gibraltar Gazette yesterday.
It is a direct reversal of the regulations introduced in October 2013, when the qualifying period was changed from 12 weeks to 52.
In January, following a major demonstration on the issue of agency workers, Unite the Union presented a list of aspirations to Government.
The change to this regulation was the first point on this list.
