The Government is working on the application of new rules which will require every worker in the private sector to be offered an occupational pension.
This according to the Chief Minister who in his MayDay message said the equalisation of pensionable age between sexes was also being prepared.
He said the rights of workers to join a union will become law this year.
Fabian Picardo said Covid has devastated our economy, but that his government had ensured all workers continue to have a salary.
He said the Government would repay the costs of pandemic by stopping all waste and abuse in spending but without austerity, which affects the most vulnerable.
