The serviceman at the heart of an incident at the runway between the Ministry of Defence and the Royal Gibraltar Police, has been sentenced to two years nine months in the UK, where he will serve his sentence. Sergeant Timothy Watterson pleaded guilty to ten charges, including indecency with a child, multiple counts of voyeurism and multiple counts of possession of indecent images.
A Royal Gibraltar Police investigation had concluded there was insufficient evidence in Gibraltar to arrest or charge him. The MOD resumed the investigation that led to his eventual court martial.
At this stage it’s not clear where the incriminating evidence was found.
