Senior diplomat, Marc Holland, is named new Deputy Governor

A senior diplomat has been named as Gibraltar's new Deputy Governor, taking over from Nick Pyle on the 1st August.

Marc Holland was most recently the UK's Deputy Ambassador to Denmark, with previous appointments in Brussels, Berlin and London - including on a project supporting Gibraltar.

He also served as Administrator of the Overseas Territory of Ascension Island between 2014-2017.

Mr Holland, who will be joined by his wife Rachel and five children, said he looks forward to supporting the Governor, Sir David Steel , especially at such an important time in Gibraltar's history.
