​Spanish carer serving four year sentence for theft and burglary pleads guilty to stealing £200

A Spanish carer currently serving a four year prison sentence for theft and burglary pleaded guilty to stealing £200.

Virginia Osuna Gil of La Linea stole the victim’s debit card and withdrew the money without authorisation. The incident was captured on CCTV.

The Justices of the Peace told the defendant the custody threshold had been crossed, adding that she had breached her position of trust.

Osuna Gil was sentenced to one month in prison, to be served consecutively to her current sentence.
