Theresa May has suffered her second Parliamentary defeat in as many days, this time on her ability to dictate her timetable.
MPs have this afternoon voted in favour of an amendment to a Brexitmotion forcing the Government to respond within three days if it loses the vote on the Prime Minister's deal. She previously had 21 calendar days to return to Parliament to present her next move.
Yesterday Tory rebels joined the Opposition to support a vote to limit the Government's ability to amend taxes to cope with the consequences of a no-deal Brexit.
