Customs have arrested three people on suspicion of importing one and a half kilos of cannabis resin into Gibraltar.
Mohammed Ahdadou, Ahmed Ahem Chargui Boudrae and a teenager were on board a jet ski and challenged by Customs as it entered British Gibraltar Territorial Waters.
The drugs were discovered during a search of the jet ski.
Just over 4500 euros was also detained under the Proceeds of Crime Act.
The Driver of the jet ski, Mr Chargui Boudrae has been charged with two counts of assisting illegal immigration as well as the possession and importation of the cannabis.
The other two men on board, Mr Ahdadou and the juvenile have been charged with being in Gibraltar without a valid permit, as well as possession and importation of the Class B drug.
At the Magistrate’s Court, Mr Ahdadou indicated a plea of not guilty to these charges.
The matter has been adjourned until the 29th August and the men have been remanded in custody.
In a separate case, a Customs chase saw a car abandoned with 200 cartons of cigarettes inside, which were seized.
The occupants escaped onboarda boat.
