The Treaty’s target date of 10 April for provisional application is now “very likely” to be missed.

The Chief Minister provided a progress update at last night’s inaugural Law Council Dinner, describing the timeline as ambitious.

The event brought together members of the legal profession from private practice, Government and industry.

In her opening address, Council Chair Emma Lejeune said the profession will play a central role in the Treaty’s effective implementation.

Meanwhile, Justice Minister, Nigel Feetham, looked ahead to the latest Moneyval evaluation.
