Two more Governor's Awards for merit have been handed out for services to the GHA vaccination programme.
Sir David Steel presented an award to Professor Ian Cumming, UK Ambassador for Health to the Overseas Territories and former Chief Executive of the NHS. He has been described by the Government as instrumental to Gibraltar's vaccination programme.
Meanwhile, Solomon Massias and his family were also recognised for making the old ICC Primary Care Centre facility available for use as a public vaccination centre. It began vaccinating people over the age of 65 as the first doses started arriving in early January.
The Governor was joined by Samantha Sacramento and Deputy Chief Minister Joseph Garcia.
25 of these awards are to be given a year, with the aim being to recognise exceptional work and outstanding service.
