Two treated for minor injuries after fire in Ocean Village

Two people were treated for minor burns and smoke inhalation after a fire in Ocean Village on Friday afternoon. A spokesperson for the Fire and Rescue Service said they received the call at around ten to three
The blaze began due to hot works on the terrace of a 15th floor penthouse.
The workers tried to extinguish the fire, but it was brought under control by firefighters, who arrived shortly after it was reported.
Part of the building was evacuated, and the two workers were treated by the ambulance service. There was damage to the terrace, but not to the flat.
The GFRS has thanked the RGP and Ambulance Service for their assistance.
