The United Kingdom's ambassador to the United States has resigned.
Earlier this week, leaked emails showed Sir Kim Darroch being critical of the US President - causing Donald Trump to react in anger and declare he would no longer deal with him.
Sir Kim has said the ensuing furore had made it impossible for him to do his job.
Outgoing Prime Minister, Theresa May, said she told Sir Kim this was a matter of great regret, adding public servants should be able to be honest.
Mrs May added MPs should reflect on the importance of standing up for principles: this has been taken as criticism of leadership favourite, Boris Johnson, who refused to back the ambassador.
