The nominee to lead the European Commission has indicated that she will not reopen Brexit talks.
Ursula Von der Leyen said she thought the deal was a good one, and that it is the UK's responsibility to sort the situation out.
Speaking to liberal MEPs ahead of the vote on her appointment, Ms Von der Leyen said the backstop over the Irish border was "precious", adding its inclusion in the Brexitdeal has to be defended.
The European Commission presidential candidate said Brexitis not the end of something, but the beginning of future relations, adding "good cooperation" is of "absolute importance".
