What happens when cross-frontier workers test positive for Covid-19 in Gibraltar? 

The latest Covid-19 statistics for Gibraltar were posted on Saturday at midday, showing five active cases, including two cross frontier workers.

In respect of the two cross-frontier workers, the Government says their positive results were derived from targeted, systematic sampling and that the individuals are now self-isolating at home in Spain. "We began making contact with the Madrid authorities in March and these contacts continue as necessary. At a local level, there has been communication with Spanish clinicians on medical details."

A total of 2862 tests have been carried out so far in the frontline, targeted and systematic sampling. This is included in the following figures.
