A local woman has been reported for process after ignoring instructions to isolate together with a juvenile living with her, who had tested positive for Covid-19.
The Royal Gibraltar Police says it has received a report alleging that the woman and juvenile nevertheless spent time with other family members who were not in isolation.
The adult family relative has now been reported for process on suspicion that she failed to comply with Public Health advice in breach of Civil Contingencies Emergency Regulations.
The RGP says it considers the behaviour of these individuals to be ‘utterly irresponsible’, adding strict enforcement action will be taken against anyone found to be similarly ignoring instructions from the Contact Tracing Bureau.
Anyone who is found guilty of failing to comply with Regulations could face a fine of up to £10,000.
