The Workers' Memorial Day Ceremony will be held on Friday 26th April and will be jointly organised by Gibraltar Cultural Services on behalf of the Government and Unite the Union.
The Chief Minister will lead a short ceremony at the Lobby of Parliament as from 12 noon.
Although the ceremony is on the Friday, the bank holiday is on Monday 29th April.
Fabian Picardo said he was proud to have declared Workers' Memorial Day a bank holiday on the year he was first elected, as a day to remember all those who have been hurt, injured or killed at work.
He said it was fundamentally important to keep legislation regarding the health and safety of workers in our consciousness.
